In Los Angeles, several women are murdered within the space of a few days. A television channel gets a phone call from a man claiming to be the murderer. He proposes to meet with journalist Karen White (Dee Wallace - E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Cujo, Killer Instinct). The meeting must take place in the projection booth of a sex shop. Karen sees the man, and screams. The police shoot the suspect down...Wanting to put experience behind her, Karen decides to spend a few days in a private clinic with her husband.
